Mary Buckley
Mary throughout her career has held a strong belief that with aspiration and focussed effort both employer expectations and the needs, wants and desires of employees can be met in a definitive, win-win fashion. Through both her global industry practice and academic study (Mary holds an Msc in Organisational Psychology), she has come to realise that it is a great workplace culture which sits at the very heart of meeting and exceeding both employer and employees’ expectations, needs and wants.
Mary has partnered with and supported business owners, boards, executive teams and senior leadership teams to deliver clear direction to their organisations on the core purpose, aspired future and resulting strategy of the business. She now turns her focus to working with consultants and practitioners throughout New Zealand, allowing them to successfully deliver Acentia solutions to their clients.
Mary’s greatest career achievement to date is being part of the inception, design and development team that proudly brings Acentia to the world, enabling any and all organisations to achieve workplace culture excellence in their working environments.
Mary is a member of both the NZ Psychological Society and the NZ Institute of Organisational Psychology.

Marie Webber
Marie started her career in sales (would you like a streetlight with that?) before spending a good 15 years in a variety of human resources, OD and leadership roles prior to beginning Culture by Design. This gave her the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience working with workplace cultures around the globe and in both the private and public sectors, lighting a fire under her to find better solutions for organisations struggling to navigate the complexity of workplace culture development.
Between her structured approach, creativity and prior development and facilitation experience, Marie fell rather naturally into leading the design effort for Culture by Design. Bringing Acentia to fruition and making it accessible to organisations large and small marks the achievement of a major life goal for Marie to see organisations equipped and empowered to be better through workplace culture.
With degrees from the University of Canterbury (BCom) and Massey University (BBS with 1st class honours) and a range of accreditations, she has the qualifications to support her work, but always favours real-world practicality over theory when it comes to what actually works in organisations.

Renske Grant
Renske is our amazing Administrator and Content Creator, and she handles all social media for Culture by Design and Acentia too.
Renske's background is diverse, having worked across a range of industries including customer service, programme planning & coordination, team building and business management.
Renske has a newfound passion for healthy work environments, including the understanding of human behaviour, personalities and how it all plays a role in positive team culture, which makes her excited for her fresh career path. As such, she has now completed her Graduate Diploma in Science, majoring in Psychology and is currently studying towards her Master of Science in Industrial Organisational Psychology.
Renske already holds a degree in Sport, Health and Leisure Science and Honours degree in Recreational Science. She is fun, creative and highly organised, and a fabulously valuable member of the CbD team.
